X3 : Helikopter Tercepat Dunia

X3 merupakan Helikoter tercepat dengan kecepatan 430 km/jam dibuat oleh perusahaan helikopter Erucopter Prancis, X3 dinobatkan sebagai Helikopter tercepat dunia. 

Heli ini mampu mencapai kecepatan menakjubkannya berkat mesin tambahan yang terpisah dari rotor utama. Mesin inilah yang memberi tenaga pada dua baling-baling konvensional di masing-masing sisi heli.
Kecepatan helikopter x3 ini dua kali kecepatan heli konvensional yang hanya mencapai kecepatan 241 km/jam. Seperti dikutip PhyOrg, sistem heli ini tak membutuhkan sistem ballast untuk menjaga konfigurasi rotor besar dan dua baling-baling kecil agar bisa bekerja bersamaan.
Selain itu, heli ini juga tak membutuhkan sistem bantuan karena heli ini bisa diterbangkan pilot heli biasa. Kecepatan ekstra Eurocopter X3 ditujukan untuk layanan darurat dan anggota militer. Namun Eurocopter tak menyebut kapan heli ini akan dipasarkan.
